As I did four years ago during my 48-state motorcycle tour, each week I am doing my best to reconstruct the events of the week -- impressions formed, highlights in terms of people and activities, and other stuff that might be of interest to you and also jog my memory for that day down the road when this might form the basis of a book or photo-essay.
Along with the narratives will be a sampling of photos taken with Christine's digital camera. It's the same camera I used on my trip four years ago. It's a dinosaur in terms of a digital photography timeframe, but I can't argue with the results. Just look at the quality of the portraits I've posted of my therapists. How could you ask for more? So every time I'm tempted to get myself my own camera with all the latest bells and whistles, I stop for a moment and ask, why?
Anyway, enjoy the updates and photos. Don't expect mind-engaging literature. These are simply a handful of personal recollections, pieced together as I go along. Sometimes I'll be able to write them up the same day, other times days after the actual events. The photos likewise are just a glimpse of some of the places I've visited and people I've met. Hope you like them.
